Grandfather Clocks
|
Americana Clock Co.The Americana Clock Company harkens back to how the Grandfather clocks were built in the mid 80’s through the early part of this new century. That is with quality construction and quality materials. What sets Americana apart is the use of solid and quality woods throughout such as American Cherry, Red Oak, Maple, African Rosewood and Plantation raised Mahogany. Each clock is not only finished in a cherry or oak stain but is also made of the same species solids. Extra details such as side hinged access doors, thicker brass numerals on the dials, higher quality cast dials, solid wood dial frames put in to each and every clock bring added value. All Americana clocks are completely finished so you can feel the finish and have the knowledge the clock is built better than standard furniture. Joints are tongue and groove, lap and butt with butterfly dovetail type inserts. The backs are all wood and completely finished. The solid wood thicknesses range from 1/4 inch to a full 2 inches and greater depending on the design. Americana maintains it's own state of the art drying kilns to control the exact amount of moisture in each case to negate splitting and seasonal issues. All carvings are hand done and are of the same species of wood as the case. Americana is the only clock company that believes in it's quality so deeply that they double the industry standard warranty of two years to four years. |
