Replogle Globes Incorporated ® - in 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, Luther Irvin Replogle founded the company under the concept of "a globe in ever home." Replogle's headquarters, in Broadview, Illinois, has 260,000 square feet of factory space which is the largest in the world devoted to the manufacture of geographical, press-craft and injection molded globes. Replogle ® was the first to introduce globes with a raised relief surface, giving users a more realistic feel for the Earth's irregular topography. Replogle Globes co-founded Scanglobe in Denmark in 1963. Scanglobe ® is known for the production of illuminated, injection molded globes. In 1983, Replogle ® purchased Wrightwood Enterprises of Chicago, Illinois creating a wood division that produces many of Replogle's handcrafted wood globe stands and mountings.
